Which Iranian product has the most European customers?

According to ISNA news agency, the Tehran Chamber of Commerce in its latest report has reviewed Iran’s trade situation with the European Union in the first quarter of 2022.
According to the statistics provided, in the first quarter of this year, the European Union had 1,266 billion euros of trade with outside the Union, which shows a 31% increase compared to the same period last year. During this period, the export amount of this region was about 592 billion euros and the import amount was 674 billion euros. Compared to the same period of the previous year, the amount of exports of the European Union has increased by 16% and the amount of imports has increased by 46%.
After Russia’s attack on Ukraine, the EU’s exports and imports have increased and only in March of this year, imports have registered a growth of 19% and exports have registered a growth of 15%.
Since 2019 and at the same time as the sanctions intensified, the amount of joint trade between Iran and the European Union has decreased significantly. In 2019, Iran’s total trade with Europe was 4.87 billion euros, which is about a quarter of the previous year’s figure.

In the first quarter of 2022, Iran’s trade with Europe has reached 1.33 billion euros, of which 20% is Iran’s export and 80% is import. During this period, Turkey’s joint trade with the European Union has doubled. Turkey currently exports about 23 billion euros to the European Union.
After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the country’s trade with the European Union has also experienced changes. According to official statistics, in March of this year, the amount of European imports from Russia increased by 12%, but the amount of exports to this country decreased by about 49%. A significant part of the joint trade between the two sides is devoted to the export of Russian petroleum products to the European Union.
During these years, Iran’s trade balance with the European Union has always been negative. In the first season of 2022, this country has reached 779 million euros.
The most goods exported from Europe to Iran are machinery and transportation equipment, food, chemical products, industrial products, beverages and tobacco, and in contrast to food and live animals, chemical products, inedible raw materials, Vegetable and animal oils are the main goods exported from Iran to Europe.
