Reducing clearance time

The time for clearance of export declarations in 1400 was about 7 hours.

Alireza Moghdisi, the head of Iranian customs, said: In 1400, the number of declarations of imported goods cleared was 300,000 items, which has increased by 16% compared to the previous year. Despite the increase in the number of declarations, the average duration of customs procedures for the clearance of imported goods, including the time of issuing permits, was about 34 hours, which has decreased by 15% compared to last year.
The head of Iranian customs in the context of reducing the clearance time of imported goods said: With the follow-ups carried out by the Iranian customs, the process of exiting basic goods from the country’s customs has increased compared to the amount of goods being unloaded.
Placing the basic goods and raw materials of the production line in the green route has reduced the clearance time of the goods. The increase in the number of virtual experts in customs has been another effective factor in reducing the clearance time of import declarations.
The main imported goods in the year 1400 were mechanical and electrical machines of the production line, raw materials of manufacturing factories such as rubber and chemical materials, iron and steel, paint, paper and cardboard, raw materials for medicine and medical equipment, basic goods that more than 75% of declarations imported.

According to the Director General of Iranian Customs: the number of export declarations last year was 660 thousand, of which 45% passed through the green and yellow routes. The necessity of controlling the export standards has caused that about half of the export declarations are directed to the red path.
Therefore, the time for the clearance of export declarations in 1400 was about 7 hours, which has decreased by 14% compared to last year.
According to the obtained statistics, the most exported goods in 1400 included fruits and vegetables, milk, dairy products, sweets, biscuits, grain products, plastic, glass and steel products, fuel and petroleum and mineral products, which in total They account for 60% of the total number of export declarations.
